¡Holaaa!, hoy para nuestro Cool Hunting de talento Venezolano les traemos a PERINOLA, una marca que se caracteriz por mezclar influencias bohemias, étnicas y roqueras con un toque vintange; buscando siempre prendas adaptadas al día a día de la mujer venezolana.

Tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer y conversar un poco con Helena, la diseñadora creativa de esta preciosa marca, quien está completamente enamorada de su trabajo. Nos cuenta desde el 2009 ella diseñaba su ropa, con ayuda de una costurera, y debido a todos los buenos comentarios que recibió sobre las prendas decidió emprender con la marca Perinola en Octubre del 2011.

Hi!!!!, for our Cool Hunting of Venezuelan talent, today we bring you: "PERINOLA" (strands for whieligig in spanish) a brand that blends bohemian, ethnic and a rocker influences with a vintange touch; always looking for clothes that are adapted to every day of Venezuelan women.

We had the opportunity to meet and chat briefly with Helena, the creative designer of this beautiful brand, who is completely in love with her work. Since 2009 she designed her clothes with the help of a seamstress, and because of always had good comments on the garments, she decided to launch the brand in October 2011.

El nombre Perinola nace por tres cosas:

1. Es un nombre criollo, que representa a una marca venezolana

2. Es un juego famoso en muchos lugares del mundo, lo que representa las tendencias que ella recoge de muchos lugares.

3. Hace referencia a algo diferente, autentico, joven y fresco -ser espíritu joven- es una frase que identifica a esta marca.

The name Perinola (Whirligig) comes by three things:

1. It is a native name, representing a Venezuelan brand

2. It is a popular game in many parts of the world, which represents the trends she collect from many places.

3. It refers to something different, authentic, fresh and young -be a young spirit- is a phrase that identifies the brand in so many ways.

Helena saca dos colecciones al año, pero durante los seis meses que dura una colección ella reinventa y genera piezas nuevas, todas dentro de la línea y el concepto de la colección, es por eso que constantemente vemos nuevas prendas.

Ahorita puedes conseguir a la venta la colección La Feria, que fue inspirada en un Road Trip que ella hizo a comienzo de año en Estados Unidos, está basada en festivales de música, magia o arte, y sobre todo en el camino que sigues para llegar a estos lugares. Todas sus colecciones son inspiradas en algún viaje que ella realiza a comienzos de año.

Helena shows two collections a year, but during the six months that the collection is on sale, she  reinvents a and generates new parts all within the line and the concept of the current season, that is why we constantly see new clothes.

Right now you can buy collection named "La Feria" (stands for The Fair in spanish), which was inspired on a Road Trip she did earlier this year in the U.S, is based on festivals of magic music or art, and especially on the road that leads you to that places. All collections are inspired by a trip she performed on the year.

Sin duda, chaquetas como esta, de material fresco y estampadas, son las prendas que diferencian a Perinola en el mercado venezolano. Son perfectas para el trópico ya que abrigan lo necesario y de igual manera te permiten estar elegante.

Nos adelantó que su próxima colección va estar inspirada en Sri Lanka y se llamará Luna en Ceylon .. No podemos esperar a ver todas las cosas bellas que nos traerá Perinola el año que viene.

She announced to us that, hes next collection will be inspired in Sri Lanka and the name will be "Luna en Ceylon" (Moon on Ceylon) .. We can not wait to see all the beautiful things that Perinola will bring us next year.
